An important component of the Gyrotonic methodology is Gyrokinesis, which is in fact Yoga in Motion. Gyrokinesis incorporates many key principles taken from yoga, dance, gymnastics as well as tai chi.

Created and fostered by Juliu Horvath, Gyrokinesis is a new methodology for exercising the musculature. The fluid movements mobilize the joints while simultaneously stretching and strengthening the body. The effect of Gyrokinesis is an increased range of motion and coordination. While Gyrotonic involves equipment, Gyrokinesis is practiced during mat floor classes. Private, semi-private and small mat/floor classes are offered. All private exercise sessions are individually designed and personally supervised by a certified professional instructor.
