About Us

GYROTONIC LA was founded in 1999 by Barbara Schwarz (Certified Master Teacher) and moved to the Marina del Rey location in the fall of 2008. We are proud to be a teacher training studio as well as home to a regular clientele that ranges from 14 to 82 years of age.

We offer Gyrotonic, Gyrokinesis, Pilates, and Pilates mat classes. All of our teachers are certified in Gyrotonic, Pilates or both. We pride ourselves in providing a nuturing atmosphere that encourages people to learn without having to be intimidated, and bringing them back to the joy of movement.
